SOHO Daily Meeting Minutes for Thursday 28 August 2003 ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * A test for acquiring low rate telemetry at a 26-meter station is planned for Tuesday, September 2, on the DSS-16 pass. There will be an SORR at 9am tomorrow. The draft timeline is below, times are estimates. DSS-46 01:25 - 08:10 DSS-66 12:00 - 18:20 14:00-15:00 UT SVM Reserved 15:00-17:30 UT NRT available 17:30 SVM Reserved (Uplink of time tagged commands for rate transitions) DSS-16 18:00 - 01:05 18:10 MDI and S/C transition to HR idle 18:15 Transition to low rate on low gain antenna (time-tagged) If DSS-16 successfully acquires low rate telemetry, a transition to medium rate telemetry may be performed. 21:15 Transition to HR idle (time-tagged) Shortly thereafter, transition to VC2 and NRT will become available. * Monday 1 September is a US holiday (Labor Day), so teams may want to load through early Tuesday. An ECS operator will be in the SOC office 10am - 5pm. * GSFC visitor processing will be conducted at the Visitor's Center during the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Outside those hours, it will be conducted at the Main Gate. Visitors with a non-picture badge have to enter through the Visitor's Center. All visitor vehicles and personal items will be inspected. Retirees are handled as visitors. * EIT Shutterless Runs #12 and #13 have been updated on the SOHO Calendar. * Current RHESSI default target is [former] AR10424, near the SE limb. When selecting this target to maximize coordination w/others, use campaign number 6850. * Goddard BW Parkway Bridge will be closed from September 3, 2003 until February 2004 for restoration. * Commanding times for next week: Monday - DSS-66 until 16:50 UT, then gap until 18:05 UT when DSS-16 begins. Tuesday - Gap in contact until 12:25, then DSS-66 until 18:20 UT. SOHO Low Rate testing on DSS-16, no science data. Wednesday - Gaps in contact from 13:30-16:55 UT and 18:20-22:35 UT. Thursday - Gap from 13:10-15:55 UT. Friday - Gap from 16:50-20:25 UT. Saturday - After a gap, DSS-27 15:30-19:15, then DSS-16 until 23 UT. Sunday - Good commanding all day.
