SOHO Daily Meeting Minutes for Wednesday 05 May 2004 ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * We will lose part of the D16 pass today due to DSN software engineering: The expected loss will occur after 17:30 UT, lasting about 2 hours, for a station software change. D16 will then come back to support us until the end of the scheduled pass, but the station will be running new software, so the data has been de-committed. We will most likely stay in record for this part of the D16 pass, except possibly dumping magnetograms. The gap from 17:30 UT will be dumped on the next pass, the recording made after D16 comes back will only be dumped if necessary. * The current RHESSI default target is AR10605 (new). When selecting this target to maximize coordination w/others, use campaign number 6850. * ICAL01 today at 16 UT. * There will be maintenance done on sohoftp on today, May 5 at 2:00 PM local. No anonymous FTP access will be available during the 2-3 hours of maintenance. Other services are expected to work as usual. * Solar Science Seminar today at 3:30 p.m., Bldg 26, Rm G-10. Rajmal Jain (Space Physics Lab., Ahmedabad) will speak on "Soft X-ray observations with Si and CZT detectors on the Indian Spacecraft." * LASP Seminar on tomorrow, May 6 at 3:30 p.m., Bldg 21, Rm 183, Ken Phillips will speak on "New Insights into Solar X-ray Flares" * SPWG Friday, 7 May in EOF after daily and weekly planning meetings.
