WEEKLY MEETING MINUTES Week 27, June 30 - July 6, 2003 1. Announcements ---------------- * CNE network outage from 6-8pm on Wednesday 2 July. CNE internet access, e-mail services and building to building traffic will be intermittent. * The GITT scan of the EOF was completed yesterday. Scans of the EAF will be rescheduled, most likely for next week (TBD). 2. Operations Constraints ------------------------- * We expect SOHO to be in low rate all week, so no science packets will be created. However, some instruments have enough science information in low rate housekeeping packets to do some science observations (e.g. SWAN). * The current strategy for using the SSR to minimize the keyhole period is as follows: If we lose high rate telemetry during a 34 meter contact, the spacecraft will be commanded to low rate for the remainder of the pass. At the end of the pass, the spacecraft will be commanded to high rate and put into record to fill up whatever available space there is on the SSR, i.e. any as yet undumped data will be kept on the recorder, dumped portions will be overwritten with new data. If the loss of downlink ability occurs between 34 meter passes, (i.e. we do not reacquire high rate telemetry on an upcoming pass), the recorder will already be full, so no special action can be taken. However, after the recorder has been filled up, it is still possible to discard the data on the SSR, using the capacity in a different way, e.g. recording somewhat less than one hour per day for the entire gap. We do not anticipate making any decision about this until Monday. * 34m stations for next week all times are UT: Monday: D66 12:00-16:00 26-meter for uplink D63 12:00-16:00 D/L only Tuesday: D54 10:15-14:15 Wednesday: D66 13:00-17:00 26-meter for uplink D65 13:00-17:00 D/L only Thursday: D34 00:20-04:20 D24 15:00-19:00 Friday: D24 15:45-19:45 Saturday: D24 17:05-21:05 Sunday: D34 01:50-04:45 D24 13:35-17:00 3.
