Study 000154: The chromo_evap_rm study comprises 15 repeats of the above raster totaling one hour of observing time. This can be increased if there is an exceptional target. The spectral windows are wide enough to allow the detection to Doppler velocities up to 500 km/s. Lossless compression has been applied resulting in a data rate of 48 kbit/s. We request that the chromo_evap_rm study be run only when an active region with a complex magnetic topology is within approximately 600 arcseconds of disc centre (for accurate line-of-sight velocity measurements). Joint observations with SOT will provide information on the magnetic field topology of the flaring region that can be compared with theoretical models. XRT observations will enable density and temperature measurements of the flaring plasma. WARNING: None
