Study 000261: ACRONYM: dhb_polar_scan *************************************************************** Modified AR_LIMB_V1 (45 s exposure time) to 70 s expsoure time, as requested by David Brooks *************************************************************** The objective of this study is to determine the thermal structure of an active region as a function of height above the AR. In addition, the electron density distribution will be derived. A new line list has been devised to cover coronal emission over an extensive range of temperatures. The 2" slit is used with a 45sec exposure, using the full FoV of EIS, full length of slit and 6' wide raster. Total time is about 2.5 hours. TARGET: AR An AR just as it approaches the limb, with the FoV such that the AR core (still just on the disk) is included, but most of the FoV is above the limb. An AR close to the equator would be best. Other Hinode Observations: If possible, it would be good to co-ordinate with XRT (Temp diagnostics from filter ratios). Other Observations: It would also be useful (but not essential) to have co-ordinated observations with CDS and TRACE. WARNING: None
