Study 000263: ACRONYM: EL_WHI_CH_SMALL This study is aimed at investigating the density, temperature and abundance composition of equatorial coronal holes on the disk by capitalizing on the number of ions included in the full EIS range. This study is developed in response to the Whole Heliospheric Interval campaign. The availability of many lines for accurate plasma diagnostics is privileged at the expense of a wide field of view. Target: equatorial coronal hole Exposure time: 100s Raster: scanning Slit: 2" Step size: 30 FOV: 60"x120" Duration: 55 min. POINTING: equatorial coronal hole, with slit center more or less at the center of the coronal hole. If coronal hole is small, it is OK to include surrounding quiet Sun areas in the slit. INSTRUCTIONS TO PLANNERS: Run this study once a day as long as the equatorial hole is on the disk. If possible, observe the same area in the hole each time. WARNINGS Avoid SAA.
