Study 000314: Acronym: HH_QS_EW_SCAN_01s This study is intended to be run on the quiet sun in the equatorial region for measurements of the average Doppler velocity relative to the limb. Five spacecraft pointings are required to achieve the goal. TARGET: Quiet Sun (equatorial) EXPOSURE TIME: 30 sec RASTER: Scanning SLIT: 1" STEP SIZE: 45" FOV: 540" x 512" RASTER DURATION: 7m38s COMPRESSION: JPEG (Q=90) 2) ****** Five fixed pointings are required ******* No tracking of differential rotation by spacecraft. (X,Y) = (850",0"), (450", 0"), (0",0"), (-450",0"), (-850",0") Spacecraft pointing: west is first, east is last. 3) Use/Instruction to planners Run this study 10 times at a single spacecraft pointing. The total raster duration covers about 75 min. Each scanning point has 10 data points in the temporal direction and the line centroid position changing with time due to orbital variation is obtained at each scanning point. Each coarse raster overlaps the neighbouring rasters in the east-west direction, so that the line centroid position will be calibrated to that measured at the limb. 4) WARNING None
