Study 000363: ACRONYM: FLR001_flare_study This study is the default flare study for EIS and a test bed for future flare studies. It is fast raster study designed to diagnose flaring plasma through the measurement of line intensities, shifts, and widths over a range of high temperatures, as well as electron densities using the Fe XIV ratio. TARGET: Flare EXPOSURE TIME: 5s RASTER: Scanning SLIT: 2": STEP SIZE: 2" FOV: 80"x120" DURATION: 5m VOLUME: 3 Mbits VOLUME/HOUR: 36 Mbits TARGET/POINTING: ---------------- The target should be a flare-producing active region, preferably aimed along the magnetic neutral line if the target will not fit inside the FOV. INTRUCTION TO PLANNERS: ----------------------- 1) Run the study for 16h/day or fill the TM allocation available, by adjusting the raster repeat parameter. 2) Continuous run is required (run through SAAs). 3) Track the active region for the duration required, using Hinode tracking mode WARNING: ------- None.
