Study 000525: ACRONYM: HPW021VEL120x512v3_b As study HPW021_VEL_120x512v3 but with a modified line list. Extended window #24 (new width=56); to include O IV 279.933 . This line can become intense during an impulsive heating event and ratios of this line to Mg V can be used to measure abundances. This study is designed for velocity studies in coronal holes. The primary features of this study are: [1] full slit, [2] relatively deep exposures (240s), and [3] extensive line list. The current thinking is that the Fe VIII 185 and Si VII 275 lines are the best lines for velocity calibration. TARGET: Quiet Sun EXPOSURE TIME: 240s RASTER: Scanning SLIT: 1" STEP: 2" FOV: 120"x512" RASTER DURATION: 4h13m58s VOLUME: 87 Mbits RATE: 5.7 kbits/s COMP: JPEG85 Pointing: --------- Adjust the pointing so that there is plenty of quiet Sun at the top OR the bottom of the slit. Instruction to planners: ------------------------ The planner should *not* put the feature of interest in the middle of the slit. Using the bottom or top third of the slit will provide more quiet Sun for velocity calibration. Warning: ------- 2" steps are taken between exposures (1" Slit).
