Study 000584: ACRONYM: HPW021VEL001x512v2 *** v2 corrects a bug in the previous version, which was adapted from a 1" slit study and had all of the windows reset to the default of 32 pixels. This version uses a slightly modified line list to overcome this problem. *** A variation on the previous HPW021 studies. This time with the 2" slit, SNS and a 40s exposure time. This study is designed for velocity studies in and around active regions during eclipse season. The primary features of this study are: [1] full slit, [2] relatively deep exposures (40s), and [3] extensive line list. The current thinking is that the Fe VIII 185 and Si VII 275 lines are the best lines for velocity calibration. Instructions to planners: ------------------------- The planner should (not) put the feature of interest in the middle of the slit. Using the bottom or top third will provide more quiet Sun for velocity calibration. Warning: ------- 3" steps are taken between exposures (sparse raster)
