Study: 000605 ACRONYM: CH_Funnel+FIP_fast Purpose: ------- The aim of the study is to study the evolution of the open magnetic funnels in a subregion of an on-disk coronal hole from the photosphere to the low corona. The observations are coordinated between GREGOR, SST, IRIS, and Hinode. The Hinode/EIS data will be used to derive FIP ratio maps, outflow maps, and density maps in multiple layers in the transition region and low corona. High-FIP elements in this study are O and S, low-FIP elements Fe, Si, and Mg. TARGET: ------- 60"x176" subregion within a low-latitude coronal hole, or low-latitude extension of a polar coronal hole, respectively. Instruction to planners: ------------------------ The study shall scan a subregion of a coronal hole within 3 consecutive slots **outside** SAAs, using the study definitions CH_Funnels+FIP_sitn and CH_Funnels+FIP_fast. * First, sit'n'stare shall be performed using the study CH_Funnels+FIP_sitn. * Then, repeated scans of a region of 60"x176" roughly centered at the sit'n'stare shall be performed using the study CH_Funnels+FIP_fast. The resulting observing sequence is SAA - n1 x CH_Funnesl+FIP_sitn - SAA - n2 x CH_Funnesl+FIP_fast - SAA - n3 x CH_Funnels+FIP_fast - SAA, whereby n1, n2, n3 shall be as large as possible to maximize the number of repeated scans. The sit' stair shall be coordinated with SOT, IRIS, and the ground-based observatories. In case that an table upload interferes with the study, if possible, we would prefer the table upload to happen at the beginning or end of the first slot, at the beginning of the second slot, or at the end of the third slot. Due to the extensive line list and resulting large data volume, the off-limb allocation for EIS is requested. Warning: -------- High data rate, high data volume
