The programs in the directory [.tools] can be used to process SUMER
    data which have been processed from the CDROM to IDL restore files.
    A general description is given in CALIB_READ.TXT.  It contains the
    programs for flatfield correction and geometric distortion correction
    adapted from contrib:[kucera] and contrib:[moran] to process the
    individual IDL-restore files.  Since it is advantageous to automatically
    process a large number of images, the program FF_GC.pro can be used to
    process a number of files in a directory and store the image and header
    information.
    The flatfield data are stored in calibration:[flight.ff] on SUMOPx
    machines and can be retrieved from
    "http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/sdb/soho/sumer/calibration".

    Note: It has to be taken care that the data are decompressed and
    reversed before flatfield and distortion correction.
