SOHO Daily Status Meeting : 10 february 1996 Prepared by GOLF Luis Sanchez chairs Announcement : ------------- Experimenters are kindly required to specify to "ecs@soc.nascom.nasa.gov" activities to be performed on instruments in preparation of HOI in order to have them included in schedule. FOT report : ----------- S/C is nominal. No DSN known change. Thermo-elasticity test (Ph. Temporelli) : --------------------------------------- FPSS's small leg temperature has been decreased by about 3 degrees during previous test, this induced a 5.4 arcsec depointing of the S/C. FPSS baseplate temperature decrease is finished and lasted 12 hours, second one is starting just now and is planned to last another 12 hours (up to 22:00 local time). Test proceeds on time. GOLF : is observing. VIRGO : is observing, and waiting for a LOI door opening attempt tomorrow when S/C front face is cooled. MDI : keeps 2 pictures each 15 mn sequence running. SUMER : is taking a picture each 5 minutes which permitted to observe a 70 km/s ejecta lasting about 15 minutes. Instrument temperature has raised from 23 to 24.5. CDS : is nominal. Yesterday they had successful first light on GIS, CDS is now fully working. UVCS : keeps taking images before and after each changes. EIT-LASCO : continue cycle of image taking as defined. SWAN : had no activities. Team shall be leaving today, and shall now work from France. Which involves a few time-tagged delayed commands each day. This may increase load on FOT. SWAN asks how long beforehand delayed commands can be submitted, can it be two or three weeks ? CELIAS : no representative. CEPAC : no representative. Planning : --------- Thermo-elasticity test shall continue today and tomorrow. No AOB ----------end of GOLF minutes-------------------------------------------------
