More detailed information will be given during the day. FOT REPORT: - S/C nominal - New guide star with magnitude 2.9 good until day 199 - OBT frequency correction was done - Gyro calibration has started now - at 19:55 20 - 30 minutes of FOT reserved NRT will be required - momentum management activities are as planned for Thursday EXPERIMENT STATUS: MDI: nominal, downlinked flatfield SUMER: nominal, supported JOP_26, looked for downflow in central AR, continued polar plume study CDS: nominal EIT: nominal, results from CCD bakeout look good LASCO: will not be affected by the rocket launch UVCS: - SCHEDULE: - Science club shifted to Thursday 3:30 in order to make it independent from the rocket launch, availability of room needs to be confirmed - At 16:00 there will be an informal meeting among the instrument groups involved in the rocket campaign SCIENTIFIC ISSUES: Discussion about rising Spicules / TR downflow relationship: observations so far seem to be in contrast to conventional wisdom, more detailed investigation of downflows is needed.
