MDI - Nominal. Today and tomorrow: JOP017/029 support. Still looking for clues as to the cause of a large glitch observed in MDI pointing data 19:00 UT 22nd September. The offset is similar to that observed several months ago when CELIAS was switched off suggesting it could have origins in another instrument power up or down. Latest thinking is that the glitch is NOT a MDI internal problem. NOTE: 1) Helmut Schweitzer noted that the ISO spacecraft had been hit by some SEU's (single event upsets) on DOY 229 11-13:00 UT DOY 256 11-13:00 UT Have any instruments aboard SOHO recorded evidence of solar flares corresponding to those times? Please respond to the SOC if you have. 2) EIT recorded a large eruptive prominence in He II 304 this morning at ~02:00 in the NW quadrant.
