No flares, small GOES flux brightening LASCO saw CME (west streamer blowout @~14:00UT 400-450 km speed) EIT304A shows SE prominence. Interesting evolution over 15 to 20 hour period. Large active region now contains 11 sunspot regions: B field fragmenting. JOP021 successful for abundances of this active region. 284A shows emission behind active region. Solar wind speed has jumped to 450 km/sec. INSTRUMENT STATUS: SUMER: Nominal. Tracking sunspots of active region, waiting for data. Abundance study. Pressure studies in O and N lines. Today: explosive events. UVCS: Nominal. Streamer study on E. limb (continuing for most of week) and synoptic. Tommorow: ICAL01 MDI: Nominal. 25 hrs into full Sun velocities campaign. Should show how active region affects dynamics thru Sunday eve. CDS: Nominal. Yesterday: 11 hrs obs of JOP021 active region. Emission is very complex. Structures different in different temperatures. Today: Quiet sun variability & opacity study. Tommorow: ICAL01 LASCO: Nominal. Continuing synoptic. EIT: Nominal. Continuing CME watch in 304A. Yesterday: supported JOP021. Tommorow: ICAL01/ possible bakeout planned (1 to 3 days).
