R.O'Neal mentions a neutral channel near disk center in MDI magnetograms. Activity arriving at the SE limb. Small AR appeared near NE limb. EIT detected a CME going off the AR approaching the West limb (17:30), without counterpart in LASCO images. Some blinking Bright Points in polar holes. Don Michels points out that the polar holes may have shrunk in the last few months. INSTRUMENT STATUS: CDS: Nominal. Ran a macrospicule study in the South polar coronal hole. Today, JOP61 (Quiet Sun, disc center) at 10:30, spectral atlas Tomorrow, JOP61 SUMER: Nominal. Sun as a star observations. JOP61; Tomorrow : JOP61 UVCS: Nominal. Streamer outflow study. LASCO : Synoptic. Fe X and Fe XIV showed a lot of activity, similar to the corresponding EIT images, but no CME was observed. EIT: Nominal. Synoptic, CME watch (One CME off W limb, 17:30). Today : supporting JOP61 (1 and 5 min cadence, 195 Ang.) Tomorrow : supporting JOP61 (8:00-13:00 : 195A, 13:00-16:00:171A) MDI: Nominal. In continuous contact. AOB: SUMER will be at disk center for JOP061.
