Horizontal bands of successive AR are present in the N and S solar hemispheres. There is a high variability in the N coronal hole. Lasco saw their 32nd comet on Monday. INSTRUMENT STATUS ----------------- CDS: Nominal. Today: coronal hole studies in the NE limb Intercal 01 Recalibration sequences Tomorrow: Switching processors on-board at 13:30 UT software changes should only last 3 hours. Hopefully, this will result in less watchdog errors. SUMER: Nominal. Today: Intercal 01 Chromospheric oscillation campaigns Wednesday: engineering sequences for the Medoc campaign coronal hole studies with CDS Thursday: 21:00 instrument will be switched off until Oct 27. UVCS: Nominal. Today: Intercal 1 for 6 hours Wednesday: flat field in the L alpha channel LASCO: Nominal. Computer errors occurred yesterday. 3 CME's were detected with C3 on Monday. Today: synoptic + microjet campaign EIT: Nominal. A CME was detected today in the SW at 03:00 and an ejected proeminence was seen at 07:18 in He II.
