3 December 1997 Daily Meeting Minutes FOT Briefing ------------ Spacecraft Status: Nominal Spacecraft Anomalies: None Accomplished Activities: RSL, VIRGO, Wallops Command Test (18m-TM ok, 6m-Commanding failed;No RCVR1 lock) Planned Activities: RSL, VIRGO, SWAN, CELIAS (2250) ECS/NRT Command test over IP lines to SOHO simulator Upcoming Operations: 12/4 - TR Maintenance, Record on TR over Gap (338/2210-339/0015) 12/4 - Wallops Command Test (338/1630-1830) Ground Anomalies: 337/0813 - Resweep required for ranging at D66 (4 min delay) Instrument Status ----------------- CDS -- did not look at active region 8113 yesterday and choose a smaller active region in the south near central meridian. SUMER -- scattered light and Lyman Beta reference measurements yesterday and today. UVCS -- Switch to second part of observations of HeI focusing cone. Looking at Lyman alpha line on the streamer on the West limb LASCO -- all 3 coronagraphs running synoptic programs. Observed a CME at ~ 6 UT from northeast region, probably active region behind the limb. EIT -- finished post calibration bake-outs and running modified CME watch in 2 wavelengths (195 & 171) today; to get more temperature information. MDI -- high resolution magnetogram campaign continues with active region in high resolution field-of-view.
