Basically means people from outside GSFC will not be able to access EOF/EAF computers. (Note: After the daily meeting it was also learned that there will be an uprade on "umbra" Sunday afternoon. The webserver on umbra will be downi from 12 - 3 pm local time.) * Daily planning meeting moved to 9:30 am tomorrow; weekly follows. * On Monday morning, outside of DSN contact (between 11:50-14:30 UT), the ECS will be doing some more software testing. The main impact is that the SOC and TLM workstations will be unavailable. (So people trying to ftp delayed command files or IAPs will be unable to do so). From the ESR on Nov 19 to Dec 6, the files will have to be remade as the orbit info is ~ 100 km off. These files will be made in roughly 3-4 weeks time. From Dec 6 to present day, the orbit files are within specifications as far as allowable errors are concerned. As of today, the files for tomorrow have the projected December 19 maneuver date included. After the December 19 maneuver, they will review and update if necessary files from December 6-19. SOLAR STATUS ------------ EIT reports a small CME darkening ESE of AR 8123 at 0151 UT and a small CME on the SE limb ~1 hr later. Also seen, a CME and Moreton wave from AR 8123 at 1406 UT LASCO C2 movie of yeterday's/today's activity suggests "slow streamer blowout." INSTRUMENT STATUS ----------------- CDS: Nominal. Sunspot Study with MDI/EIT on AR 8123 Tomorrow: GIS studies on Active Regions before closing doors. SUMER: Door closed UVCS: Nominal. Sit & stare at 6.3 Solar Radii. Will change pointing to follow shifting streamer axis LASCO: Nominal. Will continue with normal synoptic observations until doors are shut tomorrow. EIT: Nominal.
