Recoverable 020/0835 15 sec TM hit D61 Reason unknown Recoverable JOPS ---- JOP 74 pointing with be in South Polar Crown filament channel. JOP063, pointing should be decided before 8:00 am tomorrow. That way, commands can be loaded on DSS-61 (before we get DSS-27). SOLAR STATUS ------------ Last Friday: CME from behind East limb near equator starting at 22:27 UT, later produces bright feature at 01:25. Saturday 05:42 filament eruption which includes the North Polar Crown near central meridian. C2 shows the event to be a Halo in this field of view. South Polar Crown arcade expands with CME in SE 07:39. CME from AR 8131/32 near SW limb at 22:51 (speed of ~200 km/s) Sunday: CME in south westfrom AR 8131/32 at 09:22 UT. Eruptive filament at East, North East limb at 17:16 UT. CME visible from East limb at equator with AR behind disk at 19:47 UT, EIT 304 showing cooler material emitted. Monday: Fast CME on North West limb from rising filament at 07:18 UT. CME from prominence lift off from behind North East limb at 14:12 UT. Today: CME from AR 8139 at North West at 08:10 UT. INSTRUMENT STATUS: ----------------- CDS: Nominal. Weekend: Network Brightenings study and weekly synoptics with coronal holes and active regions. Today: JOP 74 South Polar Crown Filament and later Active region dynamics study at the South West limb. Tomorrow: participate in JOP 63 prominence absorptions. UVCS: Nominal. Global Sun program. Study of whole sun at various pointing angles in Lyman-alpha. Comparisons with previous SPARTAN data (1993-1995) will be made. Program will continue for approximately 6 days. LASCO: Nominal.
