SOHO Daily Meeting Minutes 29 October 1998 Announcements -------------- Launch of STS-95 at 2:00 pm local GSFC time. FOT report ----------- S/C nominal. Couple telemetry dropouts yesterday, one at 19:47 for roughly 4 minutes which is unrecoverable. Another at 04:40-04:48 UT tonight which is recoverable. Today's activities: - CTOF and STOF recommissioning TSTOLs - Nominal HGA table loads - Clock frequency correction also scheduled. Instrument Reports ------------------ CELIAS -- 3 out of 5 sensor fully operational. (SEM, MTOF, PM ) Finishing CTOF and STOF today. CDS -- Nominal. Did full sun imaging test to calibrate their pointing. Observed the full sun and pointing still working properly. Using this data to prepare for the rocket flight on Monday. LASCO -- C2 & C3 orange filter polarizer sequences being run for Spartan: In C2 they are being currently run at 6 hr cadence, on Saturday - Wednesday, they will switch to 1 hr cadence. In C3, they are currently being run at 12 hr cadence. On Saturday - Wednesday, they will switch to 4 hr cadence. Today, C1 Fabry-Perot testing. EIT -- Nominal. Running full resolution CME watch and synoptic program. Continued activity on the E limb. UVCS -- Nominal ran synoptic and super-synoptic last night. Turned up high voltage on OVI detector, fine-tuning continues in preparation for Spartan. MDI -- Flat-field load finished overnight. Going to be patching flat-field today in NRT.
