Center wide outage SPACE WEATHER -------------- SOLAR ACTIVITY FORECAST: SOLAR ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TO BE LOW TO MODERATE. C-CLASS ACTIVITY IS PROBABLE FROM REGIONS 8395, 8397, AND 8402. AN ISOLATED MAJOR FLARE IS POSSIBLE IN THESE REGIONS AS WELL. GEOPHYSICAL ACTIVITY FORECAST: THE GEOMAGNETIC FIELD IS EXPECTED TO BE QUIET TO UNSETTLED. AR 8398, moving to right of MDI's High res field, is evolving in an unusual way--not as would be predicted. MDI may switch to full disk observations to continue observing this AR. EIT 05:24 UT filament eruption with CME, also seen in LASCO's C2 at 06:54 UT. Instrument Reports: -------------------- EIT Nominal. CME Watch at 12 min cadence 195A. LASCO Nominal. C2 and C3 synotics for CME events C1 FP door closed program, 2-hour cadence in FeXIV/Clear Ulysses/UVCS support in C2 orange/clear Pb seq. UVCS Nominal. He I Focusing Cone program then partial synoptics and continuing the Ulysses support. SUMER Powered-Off CDS Nominal. Gravitational focusing cone program which is a 12-hour program using full sun mosaic coordinates today and tomorrow. MDI Nominal. Running 3-variable high res campaign today in top half on high res field. Observing the emerging flux of this area. Debating whether to change to full disk program later today. GOLF Nominal. Maintaining continuous observations and engineering. TRACE - Not present.
