GEOPHYSICAL ACTIVITY FORECAST: THE GEOMAGNETIC FIELD IS EXPECTED TO BE QUIET TO UNSETTLED. 6/01 DOY 152: 19:37 UT C2 sees a full Halo event. Speeds ~1200 km/sec into the C3 field at 19:44 UT and slowing down to about 920km/sec. This event developed the 'snowstorm' appearance where protons are detected in the white light. It was determined that this was a "Backsided" event. 6/02 DOY 153: 04:36 Backsided CME in NE. 05:12 UT EIT sees a C flare from AR8560, South central meridian. 10:24 UT small eruption in North central with rising loops. INSTRUMENT STATUS ----------------- CDS: Nominal. Performed JOP 103. Tomorrow JOP 103 and Intercal 001 at 19:30 SUMER: Nominal. Performed JOP 103 and OV/MagVIII program on Coronal holes. Today prominence studies then Microspicules campaign. Tomorrow JOP 103 OV/MagVIII program on Coronal Holes then Intercal 001 UVCS: Nominal. Performed synoptics and Ulysses Coordinated campaign. LASCO: Nominal. C2 and C3 synoptics while CME watching. EIT: Nominal. 195A CME Watch Half Resolution. MDI: Nominal. Continously performing Continuous Dynamics campaign in high resolution field. TRACE: Nominal. Performed Active region study in 171A and CIV. JOP 103. Small gap in observations due to WIRE emergency. Today JOP 103 and tomorrow Intercal 001.
