Lost ~2 min of R/T data, recoverable from the CDR. SOLAR ACTIVITY -------------- EIT See http://umbra.nascom.nasa.gov/eit/plan/log_form19990806.html LASCO CME at 17:06 yesterday on NE limb (EIT noted this as a backside filament eruption). Then, saw CME in SSW at 23:26 UT. UVCS Observed a large CME off the W limb at 00:40 UT today. INSTRUMENT REPORTS ------------------ CDS Nominal. Sunspot study and Intercal today, usual weekend studies, avoiding really active regions. SUMER Nominal. Intercal today, finished detector checkout last night. UVCS Nominal. CME watch continues, full synoptics. LASCO Nominal. C2 and C3 synoptics continue. EIT Nominal. Intercal today, Synoptics and CME watch continue. MDI Nominal. Ending 3 variable mode today, doing monthly calibration work, full disk magnetograms begin later today. TRACE Nominal. Continuing to follow AR 8651, on weekend will test streamer observations for eclipse support. Will switch from flare watch to limb study. La Palma observations support starts on Sunday.
