SOLAR STATUS ------------ SOLAR ACTIVITY FORECAST: SOLAR ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TO BE LOW TO MODERATE. REGIONS 8673 AND 8674 ARE BOTH CAPABLE OF PRODUCING ISOLATED M-CLASS EVENTS AT ANY TIME. GEOPHYSICAL ACTIVITY FORECAST: THE GEOMAGNETIC FIELD IS EXPECTED TO BE QUIET TO UNSETTLED. Lovejoy in C3 data starting at 23:00 UT last night. INSTRUMENT STATUS ----------------- CDS: Nominal. Observing streamer in NE today and will switch to streamer in SW tomorrow following UVCS's lead. SUMER: Nominal. Observing Alpha Leo. UVCS: Nominal. Observing streamer in the SW today to support JOP076 and running full synoptic. LASCO: Nominal. Supporting JOP076, running polarizer campaign in C3/C2. Also, running reduced exposure time campaign in C2 to support Alpha Leo observations. EIT: Nominal. 195A CME watch with extra 284A support for JOP076. MDI: Nominal. Full disk magnetogram and cropped dopplergram campaign.
