The Dec. 23 power outage at 22:30 UT caused a number of .QKL FTP attempts to fail. * NEW: PMI WILL BE PERFORMING CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE ON BUILDING 3 UPS-20 ON DECEMBER 28 FROM 8:00 AM UNTIL 4:00 PM. THE UPS WILL BE PLACED INTO BYPASS MODE FOR THIS ACTIVITY AND WILL NOT HAVE BATTERY BACKUP. ESCORTS WILL BE PROVIDED BY MSOCC MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL. NO IMPACT TO OPERATIONS IS EXPECTED. 3-UPS-20 supports SOHO, ACE, W/P, and XTE missions. THERE CONTINUES TO BE A FAIR CHANCE FOR AN ISOLATED M-CLASS FLARE FROM REGION 8806, AND A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR A MAJOR FLARE OR PROTON-PRODUCING FLARE.
