This outage will significantly impact your ability to connect to the internet. NISN reports no estimated time of recovery. * The roll attitude telemetry has been incorrect since Tuesday. The correct values (AKARD) are as follows: Sept. 12th -- DOY 256: -0.59 Sept. 13th -- DOY 257: -0.72 Sept. 14th -- DOY 258: -0.84 Sept. 15th -- DOY 259: -0.96 FOT REPORT ---------- Spacecraft Status: Nominal Spacecraft Anomalies: None Accomplished Activities: VIRGO, NOM HGA, New tracking Star Planned Activities: RSL, VIRGO, New Guide Star Upcoming Operations: None Ground Anomalies: None SOLAR STATUS ------------ EIT daily On-Line Solar Status and observations: http://umbra.nascom.nasa.gov/eit/plan/log_form20000915.html LASCO daily On-Line Solar Status and observations: http://lasco-www.nrl.navy.mil/observations/2000/obs20000915.html INSTRUMENT STATUS ----------------- CDS: Nominal. There was a GIS detector trip during ICAL001, but continued running program with other detectors before resetting. Supporting JOP104 and JOP126 over the weekend. SUMER: JOP104. May move a bit further south, will send out coordinates a bit later... but staying with same active region. UVCS: Nominal. Today 24-hour synoptic. JOP104 over the weekend with mini-synoptics. LASCO: Nominal. C2 and C3 synoptics. EIT: Nominal. Half resolution CME watch. MDI: Nominal. At 18 UT yesterday, MDI switched to high resolution mode and will remain in that mode until switching to full disk mode on Saturday afternoon. TRACE: TRACE went to safehold mode at ~14:55 UT on Thursday (9/13). This was due to a S/C processor reboot with a cause yet undetermined. When this happens, the attitude goes into a coning mode about the sunline, ~16 degrees off, and the instrument is turned off. The S/C is pointing nominally, power is fine, and the instrument survival heaters are working. Temperatures are okay. It is estimated that the instrument will not be fully reconfigured until Saturday. There will be no TRACE observing over the weekend. More status information on Monday.
