SOHO Daily Meeting Minutes for Monday, 13 November 2000 Announcements ------------- Reminder from last week, there will be some work done to the firewall between the ECS and CMS machines to remove some unnecessary filters. Be advised there will be some periods during DSN gaps when switch-overs to different CMS machines are made. Times to avoid submitting delayed command files and commanding are listed below. The earlier times on Monday and Tuesday are during DSN gaps so no impacts to NRT. - Monday between 13:00 - 13:30 UT (8:00 - 8:30 am local) - Tuesday between 12:30 - 13:00 UT (7:30 - 8:00 am local) FOT REPORT ---------- Spacecraft Status: Nominal Spacecraft Anomalies: 317/1345 CTM5 violated Yellow High limits. Accomplished Activities: 315: VIRGO, SWAN x2, RSL, Acquired new tracking star, mag = 6.25 Switched to science submode 5, per OCD #1426 316: VIRGO, SWAN, Flight S/W Maint. 317: VIRGO, Noncoho Planned Activities: VIRGO, Switch to science submode 6 at ~2100 UTC Upcoming Operations: None Ground Anomalies: 315/0240 CPA failure at D46 resulted in a 19 minute delay in pass activities. 316/2142 CPA failure at D16 resulted in the inability to command for 6 min 45 sec. Additionally, NRT was delayed 9 minutes and 10 CDS commands had to be resent. 317/0258 D46 antenna stopped tracking as their predicts ran out. Lost 2 min 15 sec of unrecoverable TLM and CMD ability. SOLAR STATUS ------------ EIT daily On-Line Solar Status and observations: http://umbra.nascom.nasa.gov/eit/plan/log_form20001113.html LASCO daily On-Line Solar Status and observations: http://lasco-www.nrl.navy.mil/observations/2000/obs20001113.html INSTRUMENT STATUS ----------------- ICAL001 will be reschedule for Wednesday at 16:00 UT. CDS: Report from Giulio Del Zanna at RAL: This week CDS will be running from RAL an AR diagnostic campaign organised by the Cambridge group. One or more ARs will be followed with repeated studies, to study AR TR brightenings and their densities in particular. We will also try to coordinate our observations with the Toshifumi Shimizu campaign, that is involving Sac Peak, Yohkoh, MDI and TRACE, if we agree on suitable targets. There are other TOO studies that could be run during this week. I will let you know day by day. SUMER: Will be closing door from Goddard today. UVCS: Detectors still ramped down. Will recover today. LASCO: C2 and C2 synoptics. EIT: 195 CME watch and synoptics. MDI: Nominal. Full disk mode continues. Plans for tomorrow are TBD, they will follow TRACE's lead. TRACE: Today looking at AR9227, tomorrow awaiting target from Toshifumi Shimizu.
