SOHO Daily Meeting Minutes for Thursday, 25 January 2001
ANNOUNCEMENTS
-------------
- Announcement from Amy Skowronek:
The network security folks are coming on next Thursday,
February 1 at 9:30 am to scan the 150.144.30 subnet.
Amy would like people to have their machines on and connected (including
any laptops) so we can get a clear picture of our vulnerabilities.
If having your machine scanned will severely impact you,
please contact Amy Skowronek before the scan.
- Today, there will be ~ six visitors (reporters and public
affairs) to the EOF from 3:30 - 4:30 PM.
- Starting Monday, January 29 reroofing activities will require Building 14
loading dock be closed for 5 weeks. The dock will be a no-access area
and cannot be used for evacuation, smoking area, etc. People in
the EOF area will have to use an alternate fire and emergency exit.
Chris Ginther is working on getting evacuation training that includes
the new route.
- Reroofing may sometimes cause sealant to blow onto cars parked close by,
and it can be very difficult to remove! It may be wise to park at some
distance from the activities.
