ANNOUNCEMENTS

* Submode change to Submode 5 will be at 19 UT today, going back to
Submode 6 at 23 UT today.
* SPWG Friday at 2pm in the EAF
* There will be intermittent CNE network accessibility between 0700
and 1600 local time this Saturday. This may affect you if you use
the Goddard dial up lines to get into the EOF/EAF.
* Due to overheating problems in Building 26, SDAC machines may be
shut down at times if the weather is warm. This problem will continue
as long as the chilled water supply is not available due to construction work.
* We have 2002 government calendars in the SOC office
* Commanding schedule for next week:
Monday - Commanding is awful today - command before 8am
or after 7pm local time.
Tuesday - Command on D27 from 15-15:20 UT or on D46
after 19 UT.
Wednesday - Command on D27 from 15-15:10 UT or on D46
after 19 UT.
Thursday - Command on D27 from 15-18:30 UT then on D46.
Friday - Command from 15-15:20 UT on D24 then after 18:30
UT on D46.
Saturday - Command on D27 from 17-22 UT then on D46.
Sunday - Command from 15-15:30 UT then after 19 UT.

INSTRUMENT STATUS

CDS: Nominal. Sunspot studies on AR 9715. Caught a flare early this morning
with the sunspot oscillations study. Tomorrow: possibly continuing on AR9715
with AR flare diagnostics.
SUMER: Will observe today for 4 hours doing wavelength calibration.
UVCS: Nominal. Coronal hole observations and mini-synoptic.
LASCO: Nominal. C2/C3 synoptics. See parenthesis in EIT plan.
EIT: Nominal. 195 Angstrom CME watch (continuing full-resolution program
through the Submode 5 period - some backing up of the schedule may occur)
and synoptics.
MDI: Nominal. High res observations of AR 9715 and line profiles.
TRACE: Nominal. Observing AR9715.
