Minutes SOHO Weekly Planning Meeting January 15, 1996 Chair: Piet Martens, ESA SOC Minutes: Bernhard Fleck, ESA DPS 1. Update of Commissioning plan - no comments 2. Long Term Schedule (Jan 15 - May 12) (see appendix 2) - Feb 8-26 S/C + joint experiment tests - no regular commissioning activities during this period (Feb 8-26) - during PTCS calibration NO experiment mechanism movements allowed - MDI: plans observing campaign of solar south pole region (max. visibility) - GOLF: stressed that no decision on final pointing should be made until after GOLF off-set pointing exercise - A.Poland will set up a "pointing committee" to discuss pointing data and report to SWT - GOLF notes that after B-side commissioning it will need another 3 off-set pointing tests to calibrate B-side. SOC is aware and will add that to plan. 3. Next Week's Schedule (e-mailed separately) - GOLF suggested to have short NRT-s sessions before long dedicated sessions rather than at the end of a long contact. SOC replies that this is usually done, but that the specific Wednesday contact of only 5.5h is really already short of contingency for the 3.5h VIRGO operation. 4. Medium Term Schedule - experiments to verify and update numbers for dedicated commanding needs (see appendix 1) - DSN schedule still not yet received in proper ECS format - C.StCyr proposed Feb 8 as starting date for regular use of planning tool, use of IAP's, KAP, etc. - E.Larduinat would like to have experiments plans as soon as possible, even in draft form, to exercise planning tool - Dominic Zarro has offered to enter this week's schedule into IDL planning tool Agreed to have the weekly planning meetings every Friday to plan the following week starting Monday.
