SOHO WEEKLY PLANNING MEETING MINUTES For Week 25, June 17 - 23, 1996 Chair: Piet Martens Minutes: Laura Allen 1. ANNOUNCEMENTS FOT is getting annoyed with experimenters by-passing SOCs with their requests, in particular MDI. Any requests instrumenters have should go through a SOC -- unless there is an EMERGENCY instrument procedure that must be performed immediately by the FOT. Local teams please be advised of the special account to connect yourselves for telemetry and commanding as needed in the middle of the night. A list of phone numbers of SOCs, ECS Operators, and System Administrators is posted in the ECS office next to the phone. If a remote experimenter has a particular request or need for a SOC, the phone numbers are as follows: SOCs Home Phone Beeper Number --------- ------------- -------------- Laura Allen (410) 672-7189 (301) 303-7317 Eliane Larduinat (301) 229-1680 (301) 239-7449 Piet Martens (301) 657-6240 (301) 966-9028 Note: Piet will be out of state, on vacation, from June 22-July 22. So contact Eliane or Laura during those dates. Please also note, the ECS office staffing hours are on the SOHO ops schedule. If you have a need for extra staffing on a particular day, instrumenters are asked to notify a SOC a few days ahead of time. However, FOT noted it has no objection against MDI calling FOT during the night if it is for a simple information request, like whether low-rate data are being received. 2. MONTHLY SCHEDULE UPDATE As always, see SOHO Web pages under /operations/schedule/monthly.txt for proposed collaborations during June and July Moved JOP027 to July 8th. Momentum management is currently planned for June 27th (DOY 179). No time is set yet, will have to wait until the DSN schedule is confirmed for a backup antenna. This is earlier than expected due to the slowing of reaction wheel #2. For good news: no station keeping will be needed until September.
