ANNOUNCEMENTS SOHO USA - EUROPE softball match has been set for Sunday, September 22, 2:00 pm, at Foxhill Park, Bowie, MD. Jean Desselle is arranging equipment. We need more people to sign up on both sides -- so far we have 7 on each side! Potluck at Martens, on September 8, from 4:00 to 8:30. Directions and sign-up sheet will be sent out next week. Guests and children are most welcome. 2. MONTHLY SCHEDULE UPDATE No major problems with coordinated observations (alias "campaign") #'s reported. System will continue as is. Weekly planners for the coronal experiments and MDI will be added to the monthly calendar on the Web from now on. Pike SUMER - M. Mathioudakis UVCS - Joe Michels EIT - J. Gurman Tom Moran: Sac Peak/SUMER/La Palma collaboration is a study of chromospheric oscillations. For SOHO, MDI, CDS, EIT, and SUMER have been asked to contribute. SUMER, MDI confirm. CDS may run He 304 movie. At Sac Peak the HAO Advanced Stokes Polarimeter will observe, at La Palma, the Lockheed Tunable Optical Filter. JOP044 (global Sun) is going into its final week. A schedule for the upcoming week was produced yesterday. Yohkoh yet to confirm. Ted Tarbell reminds experimenters to request extra DSN time to cover collaborations with the Canaries at least a month in advance. SOC monitors monthly schedule, and requests needed time a month in advance, but experimenters need to provide timely input to calendar for this to happen. 5. WEEKLY SCIENCE TIMELINE - Daily Plans from IAP's: No input yet from MDI, UVCS, and LASCO. Experiment reps attribute this to S/W and personnel problems, but will provide input a.s.a.p. SOC will review weekly plans with experiments on Saturday and Monday. - VC2/VC3 Transitions: SOC reminds MDI of necessary OCD's, would like to get into the habit of submitting 1 OCD at the end of each week for additional VC2 needed for the following week. - TM Submodes: no submode transitions planned - Use of Flag: not foreseen - Timing of Large CMD Uploads: none foreseen - Updates/Completion Daily Plans: to be submitted today to ECS 6.
