Sun, Tues. - pointing at the North Pole Mon, Weds. - pointing at the West Limb 16 - 17 UT one image (subfield) every 7 minutes 17 - 18 UT one image every ~ 1 minute 18 - 19 UT one image every 7 minutes JOP003/012/017 and UVCS/LASCO, Dynamics of Equatorial Regions -- These two programs blend together well. SUMER will be looking for filaments on the western limb to track. If none are present prominences will be observed. LASCO will likely increase the number of C2 images taken in support of this program and is working out an appropriate cadence. The Full-Disk High Cadence Helioseismology which started the previous Saturday(10/5) will be ending on Monday(10/7). On Tuesday, MDI will be performing two tests: 1) MDI will be cropping its high resolution field in the E-W direction rather than the usual N-S; and at the same time solar feature tracking. 2) Sub-pixel alignment of magnetograms onboard Wednesday through Friday, MDI will be running high resolution helioseismology; the sequence includes 2x2 binned magnetograms every minute in the high resolution field-of-view. Saturday and Sunday, MDI will be running extracted (80%) full disk magnetograms and velocities. CDS will be attempting to complete a project Helen Mason wasn't able to finish: temperature/density diagnostics on a coronal hole boundary region. However, since EIT participation was strongly desired for this re-run -- will have to reconsider the timing of this program due to the Macrospicule campaign. LASCO/EIT will be short a staff member next week. Elaine Einfalt will be working with LASCO as well as EIT since Shane Stezelberger will be away. Therefore teams desiring EIT support -- please notify them well in advance of any planning issues. 5. WEEKLY SCIENCE TIMELINE No large command uploads are planned. MDI will submit an OCD for an extra 2 hours of VC2 time needed on Tuesday of next week.
