WEEKLY MEETING MINUTES FOR WEEK 13 1. Announcements. None. 2. Operations Constraints No unusual SVM reserved / FOT activities DSN schedule: Short gap on Monday (15 minutes) from 15:25 to 15:40 in the antennas. which prevents a continuous contact. Thursday - Sunday contacts are from ~12 - ~03 UT. 3. Coordinated Operations The following coordinated operations are taking place this week: M Mar 24 (W13) EIT to end CCD Bakeout JOP020 (#1360) , Nanoflares, CDS/SUMER/EIT/MDI, EOF: Phil Judge, 14-18 UT Chromospheric Dynamics (#1340), EOF: Phil Judge, SUMER/MDI/EIT/CDS/Sac Peak, 18 - 22 UT T Mar 25 Practice run for Woods/Hassler sounding rocket campaign, (#1345) EOF: Paal Brekke or Don Hassler Chromospheric Dynamics (#1340), EOF: Phil Judge, SUMER/MDI/EIT/CDS/Sac Peak, 17 - 22 UT JOP046 (#1355), Helium Study -- On a Coronal Hole Boundary, CDS/EIT, EOF: Phil Judge W Mar 26 JOP046 (#1355), Helium Study -- On a Coronal Hole Boundary, CDS/EIT, EOF: Phil Judge, 14 - 18 UT Chromospheric Dynamics (#1340), EOF: Phil Judge, SUMER/MDI/EIT/CDS/Sac Peak, 18 - 22 UT T Mar 27 JOP020 (#1360) , Nanoflares, CDS/SUMER/EIT/MDI, EOF: Phil Judge, 14-22 UT Chromospheric Dynamics (#1340), EOF: Phil Judge, SUMER/MDI/EIT/CDS/Sac Peak MDI, flat-field activities for one day F Mar 28 Observations of Radio Source 0036+030, VLA/UVCS/LASCO, (# 1350) VLA: Steven Sprangler, ~ 14:00 - 02:00 UT JOP020 (#1360) , Nanoflares, CDS/SUMER/EIT/MDI, EOF: Phil Judge, 14-22 UT Chromospheric Dynamics (#1340), EOF: Phil Judge, SUMER/MDI/EIT/CDS/Sac Peak S Mar 29 Chromospheric Dynamics (#1340), EOF: Phil Judge, SUMER/MDI/EIT/CDS/Sac Peak S Mar 30 Easter Chromospheric Dynamics (#1340), EOF: Phil Judge, SUMER/MDI/EIT/CDS/Sac Peak Other Activities for Week 13: * JOP020 (#1360) , Nanoflares, CDS/SUMER/EIT/MDI, EOF: Phil Judge * JOP015 (#1365), High Velocity Events, CDS/SUMER, EOF: Phil Judge * Velocity Structures above the Cusp of Streamers (#1370) UVCS/LASCO, EOF: Roger Kopp Notes: - P. Judge and R. Kopp presented overview their campaigns. - On Tuesday of next week, will need to write an OCD to delay SSR dump in order to have MDI high rate data to support Tuesday's coordinated observations. - Toward the end of next week, if a bipolar region comes up near central meridian, may want to target that. - Performing a blend of JOP020 and JOP046 later in the week targeting active regions. EIT -- after Monday's bake-out, continuing CME watch -- however will run CME program at 195 angstroms (rather than 304) The 195 bandpass works well with LASCO C1 and C2 images. Will support JOP046 from 17 -18 UT with 304 and 171 angstrom images. MDI -- will perform flat field activities on Thursday and probably require some extra VC2 for that. Will be doing high resolution campaigns on Monday and Tuesday. Full disk velocities and magnetograms later in the week.
