Thursday: SWT in the EAF Friday: Daily Meeting at 9:00 am local in EOF Weekly Meeting at 9:30 am local in EOF SPWG Meeting at 10:00 am local in the EAF SOHO SWT science workshop on current SOHO results at 1:30 pm in the EAF 2. Operations Constraints --------------------------- - DSN schedule: There are a few gaps in passes on Wednesday and Thursday due to a RadarSat satellite which has special commanding needs for the next two weeks (which take priority over SOHO). The gaps are: Wednesday between 16:50 and 18:15 UT Thursday between 16:15 and 16:40 UT. So we may see similar gaps in Week 43's DSN schedule as well. Most contacts starting ~ 13:00 UT with the exception of Monday and Tuesday which begin later at ~ 16:00/16:35 UT. Long contacts ending at ~ 01:00 UT. - Submode Switches: On October 16, will switch from Submode #3 to Submode #6 from 15-21 UT. to support the EIT calibration rocket flight from White Sands. - Other: MDI submitting OCD for extra VC2 to support rocket flight. 3. Wilson Campaign -- from Sunday (10/12) to Tuesday (10/14) MDI taking high cadence dopplergrams (2 doppler grams per minute). Craig has not received more information concerning this campaign and will update people more later. Coronal Hole Bright Points Campaign (MDI/EIT/Nobeyma) -- This study was added after the weekly meeting and details are still being worked out. UVCS -- beginning a two week campaign to look at the global dynamics of the corona. They will be looking at profiles and intensity variations of various lines ( OVI, Si XII, Lyman-Beta, Lyman-Gamma, Lyman-Alpha, NV, Fe XII, S X, ..) UVCS will be observing at different roll positions in 30 degree increments, starting at 105 degrees and moving clockwise. They will be observing between 1.5 - 4.5 solar radii for low and mid-latitude streamers. LASCO -- Will be performing synoptic and microjet studies as telemetry permits. Also supporting rocket flight. EIT -- Will be in Submode #3 next week with the exception of the rocket flight. Performing CME watch and microjet campaign. MDI -- Wednesday - Friday will be performing a filtergram and full-disk magnetogram campaign.
