SOHO WEEKLY MEETING MINUTES March 16 - March 22 1. Announcements ----------------- On Tuesday data reception through POCC instead of PACOR will be tested from 6:45 to 8:30 EST in preparation to several power outages during weekends in the upcoming month. There will be no commanding. Data reception, including VC2, should be transparant, except for small gaps at the beginning and and of the test. 2. Operations Constraints -------------------------- DSN Contacts: All ranging passes have been removed from this week's schedule, and the latest DSN schedule has no gaps or downlink only stations. 3. Joint Observations --------------------- ICAL001 will be carried out as planned on Tuesday, from 22:00 to 02:00 UT. UVCS will need to confirm, but no problems are forseen. AOB ------ SPWG on Friday March 20, at 10:00 am in the EAF. Daily and weekly from 9:00 am. Discussion point for SPWG: Scheduling of roll and offset -- proposal to delay until June or July, based on the following: 1. ESA management does not allow offpoint by 40 arcminutes, because the SOHO User Manual limits offpoints to 30 arcminutes (although this may be a mistake), so that a 40' offpoint may have contractual repercussions. 40' would be OK in the extended mission. 2. MDI, through Rock Bush, has informed us that it would like to have more time to prepare the roll sequences. 3. SUMER has no objection, since the 15 April roll was inconveniently scheduled anyway. 4. Only a station keeping maneuver is needed in April, no momentum management, and a roll and offset in conjunction with the next momentum managment makes more sense.
