WEEKLY MEETING MINUTES Week 34, August 20-26, 2001 1. Announcements ---------------- * The FDDI concentrator in Building 26 will be shut down on Tuesday, August 21 at 1 pm, for less than an hour. All FDDI machines in the 150.144.30 subnet will be affected. This includes all of the filers and umbra, as well as any user machines using FDDI. * Fire evacuation training has been tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, 22 August at 10:30am in the EOF. This training will include the FOT, SOHO planners, and all EOF staff. Updates on these plans will appear in our daily minutes. Please plan to attend. * SPWG on Friday 24 August at 2pm in the EAF. * Router upgrade on the FOT ops strings is scheduled for August 27 at 11:30 UT, ~14:30 UT, and ~17 UT, each for about half an hour. Commanding will not be available during those times but there will be no impact to telemetry. The backup day would be Aug 29. 2. Operations Constraints ------------------------- * Change to Submode 5 on Monday, August 20 at 15 UT. * Commanding schedule for the week Monday - Command before 17 UT or on DSS27. Tuesday - Command after 18 UT. Wednesday - Command on DSS27 all day. Thursday - Commanding is good all day. Friday - Command after 17:30 UT. Saturday - Command after 19 UT or earlier on DSS27. Sunday - Command after 19:30 UT. 3. SUMER: Opening door on Monday. Star observations on Wednesday and Thursday. SUMER may support the BBSO/CDS campaign Friday and Saturday. UVCS: Star observations on Monday and Friday with Tuesday and Saturday as backup days. The rest of the week will be polar streamer and CME observations and 24 hour synoptics. LASCO: C2/C3 synoptics, C3 comets in colors observations. EIT: 195 half resolution CME watch and synoptics. MDI: Full disk dopplergrams and magnetograms. TRACE: Will follow SUMER most of the week, and possibly join the CDS/BBSO QS study.
