NEW: See list of observations at the end of the message: ==================================== Coordinated campaign with TRACE , SOHO, Yohkoh and MSDP instruments (VTT, THEMIS at Tenerife) Schmieder, B., Malherbe, J.-M., Mein P., Mein N., van Driel L., Staiger J. II JOP 107 prominence: AIM: Spectra diagnostics in prominences: Lyman lines series in prominences and Lyman continua (Schmieder, Heinzel, Kucera, Vial) Lyman lines and Lyman continua are good diagnostics to derive phyical parameters in prominences. We would like to observe all the series of Lyman lines with SUMER (except Lalpha) and Lyman continua by using CDS coronal lines absorption. This programme is related to theoretical NLTE computations done by Gouttebroze, Vial and Heinzel concerning prominences and would give strong constraints for their computations. The first resiults are already promising, some statistics should be done. --------------- 3 hours: SUMER Version 1878, 4 items: 1. L_beta, 2. L_gamma.. and L_delta 3. L_5 to L_9 +Lalpha CDS: POBS1-2/v16 (JOP 12) TRACE: Ly alpha, 171 A, C IV __________________ -------------- suitable target with TRACE, SUMER, CDS planners ----------- Campaigns for 1999: We got observing time at the VTT (Tenerife) between 8-18 October 1999 and at THEMIS. The VTT should be operational after the mSDP adjustements on the 10 -11 October. The MSDP will observe in H alpha and H beta at the VTT and in CaII 8542 and one more line at THEMIS. We will coordinate the observations with other GBOs: Wroclaw, Ondrejov, China... ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Published papers related to JOP 12/107 papers: Schmieder, Heinzel,Kucera, Vial 1998, Sol Phys. 181, 309 Schmieder, Heinzel, Vial Rudawy 1999, Sol Phys. submitted On March 23 1999 and May28 /June2 1999 this program was run and results are presented in SOHO8 worshop. =================================================================== Campaigns May- June 1999 and October 1999 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- THEMIS Observations May 99 coordinated with SOHO, Yohkoh, Trace +GB obs. ************************************************************************** (P. The best time resolution is about 14 mn in case of successive scans. The times of the list do not take into account the gaps between scans (pauses due to bad seeing or instrumental problems).
