Updating the calendar: Daily

  • After the daily meeting, be sure to check the calendar

  • If anything was brought up at the meeting like JOP support for today and tomorrow, campaigns, or activities for the day,be sure to update the calendar accordingly with the new information

  • Make sure to check email to see if there are any relevant calendar updates for that day (ie: is a JOP running today?)

NOTE: Normally when a JOP is running, we will get an email on the current day about the pointing/activities for the next day of observations. If we do not get an email about JOP activities for the upcoming day, then the JOP is not running for that day and does not need to be included on the calendar.

  • To update the calendar, in a SOC window type: caledite or caleditt or caleditn

This will bring up the current calendar in whatever editing program you like to use (emacs [e], xedit [t], or emacsnw [n])

  • Once the changes have been made, save and exit
