Reports/Loads check

Checking the reports directory

In a SOC window type: reports

That will take you to the directory /ftp/iws_files/reports

Once in the directory type: ls -ltr

A sample output is below:

NOTE: The sample output is the last 3 entries in the directory

Be sure to check the dates of the files, noting which new files have come in since yesterday

In a SOC window type: more [filename].DRP for the new files in the list

When looking at the file, be sure to not the lines EARLIEST and LATEST, check the dates and times on those two lines, the dates/time for the file should be for no sooner then the next UT day or else, if the files arrive after 12PM local time (16 or 17 UT), then an OCD needs to be written for the file

Be sure to read the COMMENTS to see if it is a non-standard load

NOTE: For SWAN loads check to see which team (French or the Finish) has sent the loads

Go to the bottom of the file and check to see that the load is valid

If the load is valid the final line should read: *** Command Group Is Valid ***

NOTE: On MDI time tag loads the load will always be invalid, but that is ok.

You can also check the delayed command loads using the program chk_delcmds

In a SOC window type: chk_delcmds and the program will run through all submitted delayed command files, a sample output is below:

NOTE: Teams cannot directly submit delayed or background queue loads at the moment. Loads are emailed to us at soc@soc and must be saved in the directory /ftp/iws_files/delcmd to submit the load. Background queue loads are saved in the directory /ftp/iws_file/bckque.
